Constructed of cupal, the obverse bearing a raised map of East Prussia, overlaid by a Nationalsozialistischer Deutscher Studentenbund (National Socialist German Students League) insignia, situated above a plow, and circumcribed by inscriptions of EINSATZ IM OSTEN IST EHRENDIENST (DEPLOYMENT IN THE EAST IS HONOURARY SERVICE) and ERNTEEINSATZ IN
