All these enterprises closed when Prohibition came knocking on the door and it wasnt until the new Millennium when once again that distillation became an up and coming enterprise. Opened in 2012, Van Brunt Stillhouse got its name after Cornelius Van Brunt, one of the founding fathers of the neighborhood. Its founder Daric Schlesselman
