Constructed of gilded and silvered tombak, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, overlaid by a gilt swooping Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse with two visible rivets holding the obverse eagle in place, with a barrel hinge, maker marked C. E. JUNCKER, BERLIN S. W., measuring 42. 56 mm (w) x 52. 70 mm (h), weighing 41. 9 grams, missing its pinback and catch, the latter
