A five armed Maltese Cross with ball finials and scaled details, presenting three silver laurel leaves in each quadrant, obverse centre exhibiting a five pointed star surrounded by an enameled blue border with the inscription CAMPAA DE LIMA 1881 (Lima Campaign 1881) in silver gilt, reverse featuring a similar star surrounded with a blue enameled border inscribed REPUBLICA DE CHILE
