Germany, Luftwaffe. A Rare First Pattern Summer Uniform Breast Eagle for Enlisted Ranks and Non-Commissioned Officers visually-hidden measuring 297 mm in length(Luftwaffe Brustadler). Constructed of silvered tombak, consisting of a first pattern droptail style Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse with a barrel hinge and horizontal pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 86 mm (w) x 50 mm (h), demonstrating moderate loss of silver finish throughout the metal which exposes the tombak base, a rare and early insignia in extremely fine condition.
