paint still very well preserved with only minor chipping and very light corrosion on the “W” on the obverse
in bright silver/aluminum threads
there are steel blue magnetic metal buckles with black wool adjustable length straps
Comoros, French Colonial. A Royal Order Of The Star Of Anjouan, Officer, C.1920 United Republic of the reverse of the badge(Ordre de l'toile d'Anjouan) Instituted 1874 by Sultan Mohamed Sad Omar. Of fine quality French manufacture in silver, consisting of an eight armed star, composed of groups of seven gilt smooth rays, obverse centre presenting an upright gilt hand above a gilt crescent moon on a white enamel background, silver gilt surround with ORDRE ROYAL DE LETOILE DANJOUAN COMORES, frosted silver diamond cut surround, convex reverse, with makers mark on reverse
